Gates

Driveway, estate & garden gates

Swing and sliding gates in steel, aluminum and cedar, from a single garden gate to a full estate entrance with matching fence. Every gate is drawn for its opening and its slope, then built and hung by us.

  • Swing, bi-fold and cantilever sliding gates
  • Automation, keypads and intercom integration
  • Footings and posts set with our own excavator
  • Shipped and crated for clients outside the Island

Railings & staircases

Railings, stairs & balconies

Interior and exterior railings, guards and complete staircases, including spirals built as a single unit. Art panels are drawn to meet guard requirements, so the picture is also the code-compliant infill.

  • Stair stringers, treads and spiral stairs
  • Deck, balcony and loft guards
  • Wall rails and grab rails
  • Wood cap rails and timber-frame details

Public art & sculpture

Built at public scale

We fabricate and install large work for public buildings, municipalities, First Nations communities and private collections, often in partnership with the artist who authored it. That means engineering, shop drawings and coordination with general contractors, architects and structural engineers.

Fire, signs & decor

Lighting, fire features & wall art

Chandeliers and lanterns, fire bowls and rings, fireplace screens, signs and wall sculpture. Smaller pieces in a style that matches your gate or railing tie a property together.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

What does a custom gate cost?

It depends on size, material, artwork and automation. Send the opening width, a photo and the look you want and we'll give you a budget range before any design work starts.

How long does it take?

Design usually starts within a few weeks of first contact. Your quote includes a fabrication and install schedule.

Do you install?

Yes, across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, with our own crew and excavator. Further afield we crate and ship ready to hang.

Can I start from a pattern?

Yes. The pattern library has more than 1,200 designs we can scale and adapt to your opening.
